Hide&Seek’s Playtest Arcade runs for one day only in the Barbican Centre on Tuesday August 6th from 12pm to 7pm. Over the past few months Hide&Seek have been exploring how new technology can be used to inspire play in public; inspired by the arcades of old. Just inside the Barbican’s Lakeside Terrace entrance, opposite Costa Coffee, we will be showcasing two early prototypes of new arcade games using motion controllers.
In association with Creativeworks London we are proud to present ROCK, an in-development two player game using the Leap Motion controller. Work with another player to pile up points, before stealing them for yourself! Be careful though, ending the game with too few points means you lose.
We will also be showcasing ROLL, a frantic single-player hopscotch game using the Microsoft Kinect.
We are delighted to be running this playtest as part of the “Hack the Barbican” series of cross-disciplinary events exploring art in technology for the month of August.
