Tiny Games at PAX East!

15 March 2013 | 0 comments

As we build up to the unveiling of our giant tiny Kickstarter, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be bringing some brand new Tiny Games to PAX East. Tickets for the event have now sold out, but if you’re one of the lucky ones already going, then keep your eyes peeled around the site! One of the crucial things about Tiny Games is how responsive they are to their environment - both in terms of what physical features there are nearby, but also in terms of what kind of people we might expect to find there. This makes designing Tiny Games for PAX East particularly exciting, because, well, we can be pretty sure that most of the people walking by already love and know a fair bit about games. Which means we get to use RPG mechanics, reference cosplay and Ezio, and make a game about persuading people that definitely is Gabe Newell eating his lunch over there. No, really, it is.

We hope you’ll enjoy the games we’ve made, like “Fantasy Fencing”, “Epic Floor Expedition” and “Fakemon”. Or, perhaps most critically, “Rock, Paper, Stone, Hadouken, Baby Sloth” which we’re pretty certain will become the new canonical way of settling all and any arguments for time henceforth.

Huge thanks to the team at PAX East for their support, encouragement and relentlessly acute eye for game design snafus. This absolutely wouldn’t have been possible without them.  Looking forward to seeing you all there – and do share your photos with @tinygames so we can also applaud you all the way from London. Oh, and if you happen to be a person who blogs, or writes for any kinds of publication, and you’d like further info about the games or an interview with one of our designers, email us at hello@hideandseek.net and we’ll get you sorted out.
